Poetry: The Truth of Love

It's been so long since I've seen you
All I want is your embrace
To catch up, to laugh
I want to share our stories
Make memories together
Enjoy the time we have
But
Somehow
For a reason I can't understand
I'm yelling at you
You're frustrated with me
Our time together is soiled with rage
And we're being miserable
They say misery breeds company
But really
It's the opposite
And I don't want this
And you don't need this
But I don't know how to stop
My thoughts, my words
Hurt me
Hurt you
I just want simplicity
Unfortunately it's more complicated than that
For this and that
I'm sorry
I guess I'm bad at showing love
