Poetry: Was It?

I wonder but not enough to ask
Was it worth it?
Causing drama, stirring trouble,
Trying to make me look like a bad guy?
If you wanted out
You should've just said.
Not this game of tag
Playing cat and mouse
Dealing with minuetiae
Being angry for reasons
I don't know nor understand.

I remember how you used to talk
About your ex friends
And I chuckle to myself cause
I know you'll say the same about me.

But I no longer care about you.
If you died, I wouldn't cry.
If you married, I wouldn't smile.
If we talked once more
Or spent our lives pretending
That we weren't once strangers,
It's all fine with me.

So casually,
As it sit here watching the sun rise,
I wonder but not enough to ask
Was it worth it?
